I realized that I could not do a personal webpage without giving tribute to my wife Donna. We met in 1979 while attending the University of Texas. We were both in the Longhorn Band and from the time we first met, there was an attraction. We first started dating in 1980, and after an extended relationship, we got married on my birthday in November of 1985.
In our almost 35 years of marriage, we have one son, Jackson. He is a 3rd generation graduate of UT (undergrad) and has an MBA from UT Rio Grande Valley.
When I talk about my wife, I can’t help but make a reference to Proverbs 31. In verse 10, it says "Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies". Look it up... the chapter describes a great wife, and Donna is reflected in this proverb.
One thing that has defined our marriage is our faith in Jesus. We were serving as ushers in the Catholic Church before we were married (even though I am not Catholic). In the early 1990s, we started attending our current Church, a non-denominational Church called Shoreline Church. We continued our serving for many years with a homeless ministry. It started out as an off shoot of our Church, and eventually turned into Thomas Wright Ministries. Our serving has helped to define who we are and has been an important and rewarding part of our life.
What can I say. Donna has been my friend, confidant, and love for almost 40 years. She is the most loyal and faithful person I know and I have been blessed to have her as my wife.
