What I believe

I believe that God created the heavens and the earth.

I believe that God created man, and God and man lived in harmony.

However, man rebelled against God, and was separated from God.

In order to reconcile with man, God created the Law, a set of rules that if followed would restore man’s right standing with God (righteousness).

However, man could not follow the law, so God sent his son, Jesus, who sacrificed himself to reconcile with man thru grace. Jesus said who so ever believes in me shall have eternal life. (Salvation)

God has revealed himself as a triune God. There is God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. By reading and understanding the Bible, we learn truth and gain an understanding of who God is.

Today, we have the Holy Spirit, whom God sent to us to help us and guide us.

Phases of being a Christian

1. Separated from God (lost, unbeliever)
2. Salvation: believing that Jesus is the son of God, that he came to earth, lived as a man, and lived a sinless live. That he was crucified on the cross, that he rose on the third day, and lived among man for 40 days and then ascended to heaven.     …. AND asking him to come in your heart and making him the Lord of your life
3. Sanctification - as a believer, we get to know God thru reading the word (bible), serving, and fellowship with other Christians. As we get to know God and as we follow his word, we are blessed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness.
4. Abiding in Heaven – some would call this glorification.
